I have been enjoying hearing from many of you since the fall term began.

We continue to take proactive steps to keep our community safe.  This week we continued our program of surveillance testing, beginning with our residential students.  Surveillance testing is intended to mitigate the spread of the virus by testing a representative sample of the population to address real-time trends and prevalence in order to make timely decisions on intervention and response.

We are thankful to our community for their commitment to the MavCare Pledge. The College continues to update our dashboard of confirmed COVID-19 cases and provide information daily to New York State for their .

In addition, I want to make everyone aware that the College will be offering flu shots to students, faculty and staff.

  • Students can make an appointment online on Mercy Connect or call the Student Health office in Dobbs Ferry at 914.674.7255 or in the Bronx at 718.678.8487.
  • Flu shots will be available for faculty and staff on Monday, October 26 from 10 – 11:30 a.m. in the Rotunda on the Dobbs Ferry Campus. For more information contact hr@mercy.edu.

As a reminder, the College issued guidance last week on travel for the Thanksgiving holiday and returning to campus.  Please be sure to take a moment to read the communication here from Kevin Joyce, Vice President of Student Affairs and Annette Piecora, Director of Human Resources.

Please remember that our OnCampus Plus reopening website is continuously updated with recent communications and Frequently Asked Questions.
